Sorry for the long delay in writing. Honestly, not much is going on at the moment. I do have one funny story to tell, however. I was walking home at night from Sandy Bell's with a friend of mine. We look across the intersection of Bank Stree, George IV Bridge, and the Royal Mile to see a group of young people on the ground in a group behind the statue of David Hume. There were occational flashes from a camera. About that time, a police car comes up the hill and across the intersection. Upon seeing this, the card makes a U-turn to go back the other way once it had crossed the intersection. Looking into the police car, both officers are staring over at the group of young people. After a couple of seconds the group gets up then goes to the front of the statue. By this time, the bouncers at Decon Brodie's are watching both the police and the group, who seem oblivious to everything around them. Then a guy and a girl give another blonde girl a boost onto the statue. This girl had four inch heeled boots on, which meant that her climbing onto the statue was a feat in and of itself. The cops then hit the siern and everyone in the intersection and on the street start laughing. The next miracle happened then. The girl on the statue was able to get off the statue in less than couple of seconds. The group starts going down the Royal Mile towards St. Giles and the cops pull their car in front of them at St. Giles street. The cops did not even get out of the car and then disappeared into the night.

Other than that, I have been working on my dissertation. It is almost into the first draft. I just have to add the section on the European connections, the introduction, and the conclusion. So my first full draft should be done by the end of the week. Of course, this is not exactly a first draft but it would be the first fully connected draft.
