Well, I am still waking up at odd hours of the morning. Today I got up at 4 am. I have not really been asleep since. I hope that by the end of the week everything will have worked itself out.
I am having some immigration woes. My visa is up at the end of October so I have to get some documentation together and send it to the visa office. I talked to the international office at the university and they will send it for me and have an immigration specialist. For now, I have to sit tight while the paper work with the university goes through. That could take a while. I hate having to do this. Anyway, I need a letter from my supervisor telling them that I am indeed whom I say I am and that I am a Ph. D. student. I had asked for this earlier but they said that it had to come from the postgraduate office. I hope that this does not end up in a tussle between the three of them. Everyone else that I talked to about it says that they knew what it was and had done it before. I can only think that someone got things messed up somewhere along the line in their head.
Other than that fall is in full swing here. The leaves are turning and the rain is falling. Not that I mind any. I hope this immigration thing gets worked out soon.
