I have been busy lately as the Filmhouse has a series of Japanese films that are taken from comic books. Last Friday, I went to one called "Nowhere Man", which the translation is actually "Useless Man" (I was corrected by a Japanese student in the Scottish Studies department). It was very strange but the characters were very well acted. The other one, last night, was Fancy Dance, which is a completely bizarre title for the film. It is about a Zen Monastery and very, very good. I would highly recommend it (you can probably get it a Scarecrow Video in Seattle).
Otherwise, the classes go apace but I am getting very tired. I am taking a full load of classes plus my PhD. I think I might go crazy soon.
