I just got an email from my downstairs neighbor who was supposed to be returning to the UK soon. She had an accident and snapped her ankle. That must have seriously hurt. Anyway, she had insurance so she is having plates and screws inserted and she was ordered not to fly for at least six weeks. It really sounds like she had a rough time of it. Hopefully, all will go well with her surgery and we can have a good chat over a pint at our local pub soon.
I am sure there are interesting things going on in the world but they are not happening around here. Being an academic can be as boring as your work sometimes. Although, there are a couple of things up in the air at the moment so I will hopefully have good news soon.
