Did you know that Scotland not only produced some of the best writers in history but also the "World's Worst Poet", William McGonagall? He is buried not far from my flat in an area of Grey Friar's kirkyard called "Poet's Corner". What I did not know was that there is a version of a Burn's night for our friend McGonagall where they eat dinner back to front starting with dessert and add copious amounts of whiskey to round out the evening. I have the book of Mr. McGonagall's collected works and I can assure you that he is indeed God awful. It is a literary experience that is not to be missed.
